Intimacy Direction Workshop

This introductory workshop offers theatre artists a practical, accessible foundation in intimacy direction for live performance. Led by Jessica and Zev Steinrock, participants will explore core concepts including consent, communication, boundaries, and the basics of staging intimate moments with clarity and care. Zev is a UIUC theatre faculty member and recently served as the fight and intimacy director for Brokeback Mountain at Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Jessica is the founder of the world’s largest training organization for intimacy professionals and has worked on productions for HBO, Netflix, and other major studios.
No prior experience is required.
