The Theatre and Music Society has been awarded a 2026 Community Commitment grant from the Community Foundation of East Central Illinois for the purchase of a portable audio system.

Currently, TAMS relies on audio equipment owned and operated by the venues where we program. Having our own audio system will enable us to partner with businesses and venues that might not otherwise be equipped to host our programs. It will also allow more of our resources to go directly toward artists and programming.

TAMS is developing its initial programming in East Central Illinois with the long-term goal of creating a model that can be adapted by communities elsewhere. These early years are an opportunity to experiment and build arts programming that is accessible to our community and sustainable over time.

We’re grateful to CFECI for supporting this work and giving us more flexibility to explore what TAMS can offer.
